known issues, much less the unknown mess you'll more than likely uncover when you pull the engine or delve into that tuning software. It seems like you're banking too much on the "best case scenario", and hoping for the lucky quick fix vs. being realistic on what it most likely is, and that's just to get the car running from known issues. My advice, hold off until you find a more suitable TT to pick up that needs less, or negotiate that price down to inflate your maintainence budget. In my early 20's if I came across this car, it would be a hard pass for me with that budget. You're better off waiting for a TT with less done but in a better state of repair. Good luck!
